ATHLETICS:  Thursday, May 23rd – Tennis here against Pittsfield High School 4 p.m.

Friday, May 24th – Boys only against Monument Mountain home at 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 25th – Track – Western Mass – WSU 9:30 a.m.

Monday, May 27th Boys’ Tennis at Lee 4 p.m.

Girls’ Tennis are home against Lee 4 :00 p.m.

 

            SPRING CONCERT : Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. Duffin Theater

 

8th Grade Graduation will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 5:30 p.m. in the Duffin Theater followed by a reception.  The 8th grade graduation dance will be held following the reception.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ART EXHIBIT AT THE STATE TRANSPORTATION BUILDING IN BOSTON

 May 20th – June 14th

We are very excited that the following students will have their art work on display during that time.  If you are heading to Boston, stop in to view their work. Tristan Collins, Ricky Armstrong, Zenani Santos, Milly Hernandez, Julie Pehlert, Shelby Lynch, Ana Pedro and Adam Puntin.

 

FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

 

CLASS OF 2015 – is collecting used, or even broken electronics, as a fundraiser. If you have any used, broken or useless electronics, please bring them to school and drop them off in the Main Office in the green box. 

 

PEER MENTOR/MENTEES: On Thursday during G period we will be meeting in the cafeteria to tye die the peer mentor T-shirts. The 6th graders will come down after attendance is taken. Any questions, please see Mr. Cogswell.

 

RAFFLE FOR IPAD MINI – The Class of 2018 has extended their raffle for 2 more weeks.  Tickets can be purchased during first lunch or through the nurse’s office and the drawing will now be held on Tuesday, May 28th.    

 

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: The time for the annual Junior vs Senior volleyball tournament has arrived. The tournament will consist of several rounds of 4 on 4 indoor volleyball played on Friday, May 24. Teams will meet in the gym after first period. Team sign up forms and rules are available in Mr. Tolan’s room (46).  The registration fee is $2.00 per player and teams must sign up by Wednesday, May 22. Coed teams are not required but strongly encouraged.

 

JUNIOR ALTERNATIVE PE – The final ALT PE trip is next Thursday, May 23rd. We’ll be canoeing the Housatnoic River in Lenox. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Remember to bring a bag lunch, sunscreen, and change of clothes just in case you get wet. Meet in the cafeteria for attendance at 7:45. We’ll be returning at noon and you are expected to follow your afternoon schedule of classes.

 

SENIOR ALTERNATIVE PE -  Your final ALT PE trip is scheduled for next Thursday, May 23rd. We’ll be going bowling at the Cove Lanes in Gt. Barrington.  You need to bring a bag lunch and comfortable clothing in order to bowl and play mini golf. After your second period class (at 9:47 a.m. ) please report to the cafeteria for attendance and departure. We will be returning at noon and you are expected to follow your afternoon schedule of classes.

 

SENIORS – During the next few weeks, you are required to come to guidance to complete some paper work.  Mrs. Ritrosky will contact seniors during study halls. Seniors who are not in a study hall need to also complete this paper work.  It will only require a few minutes of time.  Please note that all paperwork must be completed by May 31st.  Thank you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES FOR SENIORS

 

 

 

Friday, May 24 – Senior’s last day of classes

Finals for seniors will be Tuesday May 28th A and B period finals

Wednesday, May 29th periods C and D finals in the morning and make up exams  in the afternoon

Thursday, May 30th Periods E and F finals in the morning and make up exams  in the afternoon

Friday, May 31st G and H period exams in the morning with Make up exams  in the afternoon

Tuesday, May 28th - Required meeting with seniors and 1 parent if attending senior trip at 5:30 p.m. Duffin Theater.

Saturday, June 1 – Seniors to drop of any bags if attending the senior trip between 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 2 and Monday June 3rd - Senior Class Trip

Tuesday, June 4th - 1:00 p.m. Required Senior Class Day Rehearsal

Tuesday, June 4th – Senior Banquet (students only) at LMMHS to sign yearbooks – RSVP to Mr. Cogswell.

Wednesday, June 5th  - Senior Class Day in the Duffin Theater 1 p.m.

Wednesday June 5th - Scholarship Night in the Duffin Theater at 6:30 p.m.

Friday June 7th  required graduation rehearsal. All seniors are to meet at LMMHS at 8:45 for attendance and a bus ride to Tanglewood. Students MUST ride the bus from LMMHS – Tanglewood’s rules.

Friday June 7th - High School Awards Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. in the Duffin Theater

Sunday June 9th is Graduation at Tanglewood at 1:00 p.m.

Glee/Dance Performance Club – Mondays 2:30 in room 38.

Going Places – See Mrs. Grimes.

MS Art Club – Wednesdays 2:30 – 3:15 in room 16.

National Art Honor Society – Every Friday morning 7:30 a.m. in room 15.

Quiz Team – After school on Wednesdays and Friday mornings at 6:45 a.m. in room 47.

SAVE – Friday during 2nd and 3rd lunches in the Duffin Theater Lobby.
