HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS – The High School Doctor for a Day Program offered by the Mass. Medical Society will be held on March 19th. If you are interested in becoming a doctor and would like the opportunity to share the expertise of a physician mentor in the daily practice of medicine please see Guidance for an application. The deadline to apply is February 19th.
JUNIORS - The Spring SAT Course for all juniors will be held from January 30 – May 1, 2014 totaling 12 classes. Mr. James Hurley and Mr. Matthew Gottfried will be the instructors. We will be holding 2 sessions, a 5:00 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. Each session will consist of 1 hour of English and 1 hour of math instruction. The cost of the course is $150.00 for Lenox High School students (equals out to $12.50 per night for 2 hours of instruction). All students must pre-register and pre-pay prior to the first class with Mrs. Omelenchuck in the Guidance Office. Please make checks payable to Lenox SAT.
SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS – Please check the bulletin board for senior information across from the band room, outside the gym. The Massachusetts AFL- CIO Scholarships – Union affiliation – Labor history exam – application and study guide at http://www.massaflcio.org/scholarship-program. Henry David Thoreau Scholar for students planning on pursuing a degree in environmental studies has arrived. Order Sons of Italy is now available. Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarships has arrived. MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
CLASS OF 2018 - will be hosting a Winter Wonderland dance for all middle school students on Friday, December 13th from 7 – 9 p.m. Admission will be $5.00 per person. It will be a dress to impress dance!
HOW MANY HERSHSEY KISSES IN THE JAR - from Tuesday until Friday, students at first lunch will have a chance to guess the amount of Hershey Kisses are in a jar for 50 cents per guess. Guesses can be bought at Friday’s Winter Wonderland dance and will be announced at the dance.
