Lenox Memorial Middle and High School

LMMHS Music Department Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 1st, 7 p.m. in the Duffin Theater. 

Performing at this concert will be the High Concert Band, The High School Chorus, and The Middle School Chorus.  Highlights include “Cantate Canticum” performed by our combined choruses and the High School Choruses rendition of the Squirrel Nut Zippers “Put a Lid on It” featuring drummer Dylan Stevens and Alto sax player, Zev Jarrett.

On display at the Lenox Post Office Windows, from now until December 16th, are masks from a high school French & art collaboration.  The following high school students’ masks are on display: Joe Bouvier, Sophie Cahillane, Miriam Carry, Connor Ellrodt, Meghan Gamache, Alice Huth, Emma Jourdain, Ella King and Alex Trousilek.


Boston Celtic Tickets – students who achieved honor roll or high honor roll status in this marking period, has the opportunity to redeem one free ticket to a Celtics game!  Please come to guidance to pick up your voucher. 


Boys’ Basketball Tryouts – Monday tryouts will be JV grades 7 – 9 will be held from 3 – 4:30 p.m. and varsity grades 10 – 12 will be held from 4:30 – 6 p.m. 


Festival of Trees – from now until January 3rd at the Berkshire Museum, four trees were designed and created by the following students: Owen Ives & Mathew Mikulski; Cecilia Kittross, Grace Elliot & Everly Carroll; Maddie Alsdorf, Aidan Burns & Fiona Mathews; and Linden Neidek. 




BCC – is offering a course for any student ages 14 – 25 who is interested in starting their own business.  The course is titled, Entry to Entrepreneurship, and is 10 weeks long to be held on Tuesdays 3 – 5 p.m.   More information is located in Guidance. 


Berkshire Community College STEM Starter Academy Open House – is Thursday, December 17th.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the STEM Starter Academy.  If you are interested, please see Ms. Ritrosky in guidance.


Internship Opportunity – Lenox Basketball is seeking 2 students who are interested in learning how to manage a Snack Bar.  This is a great opportunity and will look great on your resume.  If you are interested, please contact Paula Downer at pdowner@lenoxps.org for all the details.  The positions need to be filled by November 25th. 


High School Musical:  Auditions for singing and non-singing roles will start November 30th from 2:30 – 5:00 and 5:30 – 7:30 in the Music Room.  On December 1st auditions will be 2:30 – 5:30 also in the Music room.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Petillo.




Dancing through the decades dance – The 8th grade class will be hosting a dance on Friday, December 11th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Students are encouraged to dress the part! We’ll also be hosting a pizza dinner with 2 seatings at 6 and 6:30 p.m.  Tickets must be purchased in advance; the cost for dinner is $5.00 and includes pizza, salad, and a drink.  Dues must be paid to attend the pizza dinner ($5.00) and dance ($5.00).  It’s going to be a fun evening with a photo booth, raffle, and decade’s music to enjoy.


Mid School Shakespeare – Auditions will take place December 2 and December 3 from 2:45 – 5:00 in the Duffin Theater.  We are looking for actors, prop managers, tech booth operators and costume design.  No needs to attend both sessions, but you are welcome to do so.  Any questions see Ms. Navarino in the Main Office.
